Honestly, we weren’t sure how to start celebrating Netokracija’s birthday while organizing CXZG in the same month. Thankfully, with the help of Ilija and our friends at the largest meetup in Croatia – Marketing Meetup – we’re organizing a special edition for our 10th birthday! It didn’t even take 12 hours for the meetup to sell out with 200 marketing geeks coming!

Besides having a few drinks, we’re going to have some of the leading digital marketing people in Croatia recap the last 10 years with us, such as Mario Frančešević (Seek and hit), Ida Pandur (EY) and Ivan Kovačević (Bruketa&Žinić&Grey).

Adriatic Innovation Island 2019: How to Create Employer Branding Content

Few conferences have such a beautiful location as Adriatic Innovation Island that took place on the island of Sv. Katarina off the coast of Rovinj.

With the focus of the event being digital transformation, I talked about how to solve one of the biggest challenges when it comes to attracting needed digital talent. It’s not the platforms or social media reach, it’s actually my favorite thing in the world: Content. It’s just so hard to get developers and designers (including CTOs) to help create content that HR and marketing deparments need to do their job.

Thankfully, I had a few tips based on almost 10 years of getting some of the best techies in Croatia to write for Netokracija!

Dump Days 2019: Why Would You Work in FinTech?

Didn’t even realize it was my 3rd time speaking at the best student conference in Croatia; Dump Days, until I went on stage to talk about why engineering students should consider working in FinTech in advance of September’s PSD2 Deadline.

As Tywin Lannister (not Tyrion like in my slides, my bad! Should have asked Bran to confirm…) points out in Season 5, Westeros lives in the shadow of the Iron Bank and so do we live in the shadow of the financial system. Thankfully, thanks to PSD2, that financial system opening up in Europe!

For a new generation of developers and designers, it’s a true opportunity to disrupt the financial industry… but also collaborate with it! Just like Croatian tech pioneers Infinum and PhotoMath have collaborated with Erste bank – and on a more international front – how FinTech companies like Revolut and N26 are challenging traditional banks!

With all the talk of digital transformation and customer experience in the region, there was no event to connect everyone working on delivering exceptional CX in Croatia and the region. Until CXZG, a conference organized by my team at Netokracija! We’re bringing international heavyweights like Revolut as well as the co-founder of Wolt to Zagreb for the first time to talk about how they are using CX to disrupt stagnant markets. Seeing how X is trying to restrict Croatian companies to be able to pay salaries just to banks with a Croatian license, it’s obvious that certain industries would rather block competitors than offers a great customer experience.
